Project Overview
Solar Professionals was contracted to deliver the installation of a 66 kW Solar PV system, and a 300 kWh Battery system. The site mains required to be upgraded and the Main Switchboard replaced to facilitate the integration of batteries. Solar Professionals installed the solar and batteries, assisted in the secondary protection design, and liaised with Ausnet to coordinate the commissioning of the new main switchboard. Furthermore, Solar Professionals facilitated the commissioning of the batteries between the Mondo EMS and Sungrow batteries. The Civil works, trenching and underground cables to connect the site to the new Main Switchboard were also completed by Solar Professionals
The site was designed for energy resilience during emergencies, and as an islandable site that can be used as emergency evacuation centres. This was utilised in the 2026 bushfires in Corryong as a refuge for those affected by the bushfires.
Configuration: Supply and installation of 66kW Solar PV, 300kWh AC coupled battery system, mains supply upgrades including new switchboard, secondary protection design and integration with Mondo UBI smart energy controller.
Challenges & Solutions
There wasn’t enough supply available to the site from Ausnet, thus a new Main Switchboard and an upgraded mains connection was required. TSP supplied the new Main switchboard, batteries, and solar for the project. There were significant civil works required for the installation of the new Main Switchboard and Batteries. Concrete pads, and underground cabling were built to place the batteries.
TSP designed the protection scheme to connect to the network.
This site in particular is currently being used as a critical community response for bushfires in the 2026 bushfires. These systems are now capable of providing substantial backup during power outages, ensuring that our communities remain resilient in times of need.
